Our Village
The heart and soul of Freedom Reins
Running a small business, especially in this industry takes a village. Without the support of these two we wouldn’t be where we are today. Donny French and Mike Cultrara are two of our greatest supporters and the core of our volunteer team.
Together this year they’ve done barn renovations, countless hours of chores, volunteered in lessons and have built not one, but two ramps so our participants can mount safely and easily! Their dedication to the well being of our participants and horses help to create the safe, welcoming and supportive environment at Freedom Reins.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to my village. The horses and I love and appreciate everything you do to help keep the dream alive.
We wouldn't be able to do this without you!
Ariel Urczyk
Riding Instructor
Ariel believes that all horsemanship is rooted in collection and feel, teaching people those things she believes enriches the human equine partnership. A big advocate for continuing education, you will always find her with at least three different horsemanship or discipline related books half started, absorbing all of them. She believes in putting the horse first and that the strongest horsemen/women are motivated by their care for the animals, hard work and dedication. She graduated from The University of Akron in 2020 with dual degrees in Marketing Management and Sales management, the joke was that she majored in horses. Running the schools western equestrian team and assisting 3 trainers with everything from finished reining horses to unbroke colts and rescues. There is not a discipline that she hasn’t tried, but she is strongest in the reining and ranch horse. She currently shows sorting and penning horses, is on the Attica Rodeo Association and is working on preparing for a reined cow horse show.
